True MGirl but maybe the pet shop sells more exotic snakes than those he might come across in Louisiana and/or LA????
As I said in earlier columns, I love being a mini-paparazzi in Bossier City and I know I'm not alone.
With my ear to the wall and any open window, I've managed to find out some information about our latest celebrity visitor ubiquitous actor Nicolas Cage (now starring in the movie "Kick Ass" at Louisiana Boardwalk).
Throughout the years, Cage has had an obsession with snakes and mostly the poisonous kind. At least that's the word of Juhree Moore, manager of Critter Company, who found Cage particularly interested in the reptiles section at her store.
Cage has been staying here in Bossier City while making the movie "Drive Angry."
Moore said he spent a lot of time just looking at snakes and iguanas. "He just really likes to browse around pet stores while he's making movies and he's really interested in exotic pets," Cage said to Moore.
Cage's love of all things slithery is well documented. In 2008, the "National Treasure" actor was forced to give his poisonous pet snakes to the zoo because his neighbors were terrified of them. Cage kept two cobras at his Hollywood home, but when his neighbors found out they threatened to sue him unless he got rid of them.
Nevertheless, Cage may be in the market for more snakes.
Unfortunately, the manager said, he left empty handed.
