It could be that he's being forced to sell his properties to pay off the $6 million debt.
If this is true then it won't be Nic that wants to sell his properties but that he's being forced by law to sell rather than pay the debt with money.

That would really be sad. Call it the musings of an "Old" lady, but something tells me he really likes that castle and was planning something special with it. A loophole can be found to keep it if one was really not wanting to get ride of it. At least I hope so!
