No i truly believe it is worse. The wicker man atleast has some suspense and is reasonably coherent with a proper ending that sits with the original.

In my opinion, Nic was not right for Next....didnt know what it wanted to be, a unexplained terrorism plot, a bad clockwork orange pointless rip off scene..still I like Jess Biel winkwink but no chemistry at all. A mess in my opinion vixens!

I'm with Johnny and alienplayground...I'm not a big fan of Next either but I wouldn't say it was worse than the Wicker Man!biggrinwink
I prefer the Wicker Man to Adaptation!biggrinwink

You know what, Ive just watched Lord Of War again for about my fourth time and it just gets better and better. I liked it when i first saw it but now I think its incredible. Thought provoking, moving and so much to pick up on with each viewing. Great soundtrack too!

Id also add-

Leaving Las Vegas
It Could Happen To You
Honeymoon In Vegas
Weather Man
Matchstick Men (Great performances but a bit flawed!)
Family Man
City Of Angels
Face Off
Birdy

Cant just have ten?! Need to say Vampires Kiss, Moonstruck, The Rock, Con Air..arrgh!

On a negative note I think Next is much much worse than Wicker Man. A mish mash of ideas that dont really add up to much i think. The premise was interesting and perhaps it was badly edited but I cannot watch this!

Really? You've got to be the first person I've ever heard say something was worse than The Wicker Man....

I agree with Johnny. Next had some problems. I think what bothered me the most was that IMO the movie tried to mix too many genres.

I was lucky that when I met Nic my hubby and I were the only ones there so we had a private chat with him rather than having lots of other people around trying to get Nic's attention.smile
He is very gracious to his fans...he didn't have to take the time to come over and chat to us but he did and we thought a lot of that.smile

I told him all about Nicky's Vixens and I asked him to stop by and look in sometime.
He smiled, nodded and in his laid back Californian drawl he said ''Yeahhhh''!
So you never know...he may drop in anytime to have a read of our posts!
He also said ''Say hi to them all (Nicky's Vixens members) for me''which I thought was lovely.biggrinwink

I don't know that I would want to meet him in a setting where he had to be "on". I have read how gracious he is to his fans, which many of his contemporaries are not. I think that is lovely! But if I were looking at those beautiful baby blues, I couldn't be myself. If I were to meet him, I would prefer some completely anonymous medium. I would like an internet chat where we each used different names, and could be ourselves without any preconceived ideas on my part getting in the way. Will never happen, of course. That is why I am happy to have all of you to obsess with :).

I've met him...he's so lovely...he's thoughtful, attentive and very handsome.biggrinwink
I don't know how I got through it especially when he was talking to me and his gorgeous blue eyes looked straight into my eyes.biggrinwink

OMG! I am afraid I would do something truly awful. So I don't think I want to meet him. I would embarass myself in stupendously creative way.biggrin

Had a NICe night with Nic in leather with GR last nightbiggrinbiggrin, that movie never fails to hit the spot does itwink

Let's hope Ghost Rider 2 goes ahead then as we leather fans need a new

I have never seen the original Wickerman, either. Still, the negative comments that have plagued the film are not usually about the it being the lesser of two films, but being horrible on it's own. I have heard the it is anti-woman (maybe I am slow, but I don't see it) and lots of laughs about the bees and the beart suit. I liked it. I cheered when he punched the old lady. And Nic in uniform on a motorcycle? HELLO!!!! MGirl is right, too. He is a HOT cowboy in Red Rock West.

If Nic's version of The Wicker Man is anti women then I don't see it either!

I think the bees and the bear suit made it comical and I liked the bit where
          he punched that woman too!
As for him in that motorcycle cop uniform...PHWOAR!!!!biggrinwink

Did I send you a copy of The original Wicker Man Kim?
          I can't remember if I did or not!hmmbiggrin

Nic's version of The Wicker Man is totally different to the original Wicker Man.
The original goes more into depth regarding rituals whereas Nic's version
pulled it's punches regarding adult scenes.

Yeah I saw that...Ghost Rider is on telly tomorrow night!biggrinwink

No I don't think so, but then again I have so many dvd's at times I forget what I have...lol, I will have to check on that one

You're welcome Castor_Troy...it's great having you here.smile

And alienplayground...I agree it is hard to narrow Nic's films down to ten that's why I based my list on the ten I always seem to watch most.smile

I like The Wicker Man.
I think the reason it's critiscised so much is because most people tend to compare it
with the original whereas I look at it as a film in it's own right and not as a remake.

After I posted my list, I realised it is impossible to narrow it down to ten. I just love them all I guess. And I don't understand why Wickerman was so hated.
