Don't fret about it Ladies, people all over the world will always find something bad in something good. Sadly tis the way of our race it seems. I'm sure Nicolas knows and understands this. And if a few bobble heads are in the mix, the rest are sure to be wonderful....and the lights of Bath will be seen from the moon upon a light flick of his finger!

Yeah same here I would love it, wonder if he would sometime, knowing that he is supposedly turning on the Bath ones, that's if it does happen, meaning if he hasn't anything on and that he is in the country at that time,
Here is some stupid remarks regarding Nic turning on the lights and his selling of his home, this one I thought in particular is funny, not aimed directly at Nic in a nasty way but Bath itself, bad spelling as well...lol
Imagine a cold damp mid-December Thursday night, our hero Nicolas Cage steps forward through the crowd of hippies, street drinkers and wierd men dressed in red suits with white trim. Launching himself into the air our hero lands with the thud on the poduim, and dispite being mortally wounded by falling pigeon crap, reaches out and with his last dying breath presses the big red button - ......eventually, somewhere overhead a solitary bulb flickers into life, low and pityful, the crown draw a long December breath and and screwam out load 'its the Bath Christmas lights, everyone demand a refund'
a few more stupid remarks
I remember that day! How the village laughed and sang as we dragged the screaming EDF worker to the Wicker Man for the yearly offering.
I wonder if there's any chance that Mr. Cage might be available for a public appearance on, say, the first day of spring next year?
one about Nic selling his property
The real reason he sold it is probably that he got fed up with not being able to park!
And this one, just like I say, too many negative people in this world as it is
If I was him, the reason I wouldn't turn on the Xmas lights would not be because of the quality of the display itself, but because of the amount of miserable and negative Bath residents that the people who add their comments seem to represent.
You people are never happy - always ready to have a dig or want to turn anything happy and positive into some complaint of misery.
@Mark - You moan about pigeon's crapping on everything... Its what you and the majority of these comment writers do time and time again.
We have somebody world famous wanting to turn on the Xmas lights and instead of this being a good moment for Bath, you all just crap on it and use it as yet another excuse to moan.
Get some happiness people or move and get a new address.
Seems like the people in Bath need to take a happy pill or something, I would love it if Nic came and switched our lights on, be it in the centre of London or our local shopping centre
