Were they talking about your bum?

I'm undecided on wether we should go to Bath as well.

If it's the big day for the Cadets, the one you have mentioned...I would think that comes first if you are allowed to go. Big day for the kiddo and all.
No it's not the big day for the ceremony, that is 7th October, thursdays are her cadet evening along with mondays, and she doesn't like to miss them also she asked me if I was going to Bath with Lesley as she wanted to come and see Nic also it was depending on the money situation, being right near christmas and all, we may do that journey all the way there and might not even get to see him !!!, i know it's a chance we have to take, but I may have to give it a miss this year, maybe there will be other opportunities, the cadets will have to come first, as I'm in the decision stage if I want to become a cadet instructor as well, can't seem to make my mind up one way or another

Maybe if someone from here goes, they could video it for the rest of us here?
That's a great idea Darcy, I would, problem is I just checked the date on the calendar, it's a day of the cadets, damn it, I will have to decide nearer the time, what a bummer
Also...IF we do decide to go we've got to make sure Nic is definitely going to be there!
That is so true, too much of a journey to do it on the off chance, ok if you live in that area and it's a very short journey, but from London and surrounding areas not what you call a quick hop in the car...lol
That's really what is stopping myself at the moment about going down there cashflow problems, and being that it's right near xmas does put a strain on the old purse strings as you say Lesley we will have to see a bit nearer the time
Indeed Corelli! A meet up would be great! You see for us a few things come in to factor, we have no transport at the moment so trains would be needed, plus we would need to stop over in a hotel, get an overnight babysitter etc..and its very near xmas..cashwise I am thinking!!!!!!
According to this article MGirl it's about 100 miles (180 km) from London to Bath. I thought it was much further than 100 miles! Just think...Nicky is only 100 miles away from his London fans!
The distance from Bath to London is about 100 miles (180 km) which usually takes between 1hr 40 mins to 2hrs. Take the M4 motorway westwards out of London (signs to West and Wales). At Junction 18 turn off and turn left onto the A46 to Bath.
The A46 is essentially a straight 8 mile run into Bath through the rolling hills. You will drive through Pensylvania and a couple of roundabouts - always follow the signs to Bath. Eventually the A46 dives down dramatically under the new bypass's flyover, at which point you want to exit on the left to get to the Bath roundabout. Follow the Bath City Centre signs around to the right when you reach the roundabout which takes you on to the London Road (A4).
After about a mile you come to the end of the London Roadat a large set of traffic lights, then turn left at Cleveland Place West (signposted toA36 Warminster) over a bridge into Bathwick Street. Do this instead of heading straight on into the city centre, as this route avoids getting caught up in the one-way system and takes you straight to the Carfax.
A little way after the Ambulance and Fire Station on Bathwick Street (on your left) you come to the Beckford Roadroundabout (signposted All other Routes A36) at which you turn right into Sydney Place, then take the next right into Great Pulteney Street. The Carfax Hotel is in the middle on the right. Easy!
The car park and garages are at the rear of the hotel, but you might want to check in first and get more details of the best place to park from the Reception Desk. Be careful not to leave an unattended car in a parking bay without a parking ticket or resident permit - they are very strict.
Hiya Kim...NICe to see you popping in and posting hun.
Yes it's great news isn't it our Nicky turning on the Bath Christmas lights. I'd love to go too...it isn't an impossibility...we've got 'til November to sort something out and I can pay towards the petrol if you want to drive down to Bath.
It's great news that Nic will be turning them on this year, I saw a small clipping of it a while back in the sun newspaper that he was turning them on, how sweet I would love to get there to see that, hmmmm now there is a thought
A Hollywood movie star will be switching on the Christmas lights in a South West city thanks to the persuasive efforts his local paper.
The Bath Chronicle says it has helped line up Nicholas Cage to light up the city on 26 November and signal the opening of the Christmas market.
A little old-fashioned journalism was required to get the ball rolling after one of the Chronicle's commercial staff slipped a note through the actor's door.
Chronicle editor Sam Holliday said: "We're delighted we've been able to help secure someone of Nicolas Cage's status for such a key event.
"Bath is a city of stars and we're proud to have played our part in sprinkling a little stardust this Christmas."
The 45-year-old has owned properties in the Bath area for the past three years including a castle and townhouse.
The Northcliffe weekly teamed up with a member of Mr Cage's UK management team, the local council and city centre management partnership to land the coup.
Chronicle commercial videographer Emma Samways is involved in events organisation for the paper and its website and started the process by putting the note through his door.
She said: "I asked around the office for the names of famous people from Bath and Nicolas Cage's name came up so I decided to contact his management company.
"He was our dream choice to turn on the lights. This is pretty special and he's a pretty cool guy.
"His management company were really helpful and approachable
