Here's a NICe article about how much Nicky appreceates his fans.
How lovely to hear that our man is not like a lot of famous people in that he appreceates us. Good on you Nicky! This is what I found when I met Nicky...he's a lovely, thoughtful man who knows we love him too!
Nicolas Cage is a gracious movie star unlike most publicity-shy, occasionally downright abrupt celebrities who are approached by the public.
According to a snippet on IMDB, Cage - currently seen on local screens in the apocalyptic thriller Knowing - welcomes fans to approach him and his family when they are out in public.
The reason: he wants his children to appreciate the people who help put food on their table (and live it up as part of Hollywood's upper echelon of stars).
The article quotes Cage as saying: "I let my kids know that the people we meet, and who say, 'Hi', they make it possible for us to live our lives and to eat. So we have to be thankful and be positive when we meet them, and that's important for people in my line of work. Let's be happy about these people... be thankful for them."
I think it's lovely of Nicky to explain that to his boys. Hopefully they will both grow to appreceate things and not turn out to be showbiz brats like some famous peoples ungrateful children.
This is so sweet of him to acknowledge the fans. And my meeting with him will always live in my heart too, Leslie. Great to hear from you too, Johnny! How's the baby?
Hiya J.B!! Been lurking and not a postin', have we? No worries, this is a forum where that is not only allowed but understood and appreciated. Unless of course, you have a basket of Easter sweets and treats, and then man, its all OVER...NOW GIMME DA CHOCOLATE!!!
Ok..*phew*, I'm better...just that sugar induced frenzy time of year, lol. *Hands back your Easter Basket and chocolate bunny, with half an ear chewed off*
Be well!
