I agree what a coincedence, are you sure we don't read each others minds somehow, I never googled him i just remembered what happened the other week about that woman who he had befriended after she advertised her puppies for sale, her son nearly knocked him out for harassing his mum, that guy is so sick and he looks it as well, surely the judge and jury could see it, well just goes to show how bad the justice system is nowdays if they couldn't spot a killer, there is deffinitely something seriously wrong with that guy.
Can you imagine if he turned his attentions to men?, and stalked Nic

I totally agree with you Kim...I reckon he murdered Jill Dando just that our stupid judicial system failed as usual.
As you say Barry George is well known for being a stalker of women. He stalked and perved on women and had pics of famous women all over
his flat yet he got away with murdering Jill Dando. That sicko should be locked up and the key thrown away! His deluded sister keeps saying he's innocent but how does she know, she can't be with him 24/7. Just another case of a guilty perve getting away with it and getting compenstion to boot!
As total coincidence I Googled in Barry George and found this article from today's Guardian!
Barry George, who was cleared of the murder of Jill Dando after an appeal, faces questioning by police over allegations that he is stalking another television presenter.
There is concern over George's behaviour towards the Sky News presenter Kay Burley after a number of incidents in which he has been suspected of stalking or behaving oddly towards women.
Burley, a mother of one, interviewed George in August after he was found not guilty at a retrial of murdering Dando on the doorstep of her west London home in 1999.
She became concerned about his behaviour when he pressed her to give him a phone number and contact details after the interview. Her fears were raised further when George cycled seven miles to the Sky News studios in Isleworth, Middlesex, looking for a copy of the interview tape. He was turned away at the gatehouse.
Security around the presenter's home has been increased by TV executives and Burley is off work after falling ill while presenting her show on Wednesday.
She contacted the Metropolitan police this week to express her fears that George was paying her too much attention. A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "We can confirm we have received an allegation from a woman. We are not prepared to discuss the location or details of the complaint and inquiries continue." Sky News declined to comment.
It was reported this week that George had downloaded pictures of the presenter on to a laptop and smuggled the computer into the hostel where he has lived since walking free from the Old Bailey on August 1.
The retrial heard that he had admitted following, approaching and photographing women. During three weeks of police surveillance before his arrest in the Dando case, George was seen to go up to 38 women and try to make conversation with them. Hundreds of photos of women, including other television personalities, were found at his home.
In an interview after his acquittal, George said he could not have killed Dando because he was following another woman at the time of the shooting. He said of his history of stalking: "I know I have done wrong in the past and if I could go back in time and change that I would."
George is also suspected of stalking a nurse at a coffee shop in London. Police are growing increasingly concerned about his behaviour and have called together a senior group of officers to assess whether there is any threat. George is likely to be interviewed as a matter of course.
Since his acquittal for Dando's murder, which came eight years after he was jailed for the crime, officers have stopped and searched George after claiming to have seen him looking into cars suspiciously.
Oh i agree with both of you, take that Barry George guy, the one that got away with murdering Jill Dando, he is seriously sick, he is always stalking women, he even goes to the studios to do it, personally I think he did it, but got away with it, because he seems to be showing his true colours where the women celebs are concerened, by harrassing and following them
It's obviously an illness they can't help MGirl...I just wonder what triggers these people off from being just fans to becoming totally dangerous individuals????
Maybe these deluded people have schizophrenia as schizophrenics hear voices and these deluded fans think their favourite star is calling them and/or talking to them so maybe it's that?
Ok granted, we all have a little bit of jealousy inside us, but this nut nut must really be a sandwich short of a picnic, to act like that, poor Nic, to have such an obsessed fan, well can't really call that person a fan can you?, more like a deluded stalker is more apropriate
Oh that's terrible Darcy, I agree with Lesley, there is seriously some ill people in the world, ok we can all have fantasies and dreams about him, but to become self obsessed like that is an illness in itself, I even say that jealousy is an illness in it's self, for one person to keep being jealous is not natural, and this woman your'e on about must be pretty sick in the head with what you said, professional help there needed!
I agree, sadly..I have known a person who believed a certain celeb was doing just that with her..I mean she still is obsessed and every song that comes on the radio, she thinks its a sign from him...the slightest thing can get her going..claiming he calls her and hangs up when she answers, that he would buy his ex wife the same finger nail polish that she wears...the list goes on. I feel so sorry for her, but have put not only a block on her emails and IMm's, but cut her completly out of my life as she was starting to imagine that I was talking to this actor behind her back and would grill me on everything..yeah..I have time for that crap...NOT! But it is indeed very sad when you see someone, much less know someone like that. I feel bad for her actual family as much time as she spends thinking about this actor and searching the web for any detail on him. I hope she gets the help she needs ASAP!

Celebrities have enough on their plate without having to cope with nutcases and stalkers. It's one thing being a fan of a celebrity and liking them, or even loving them in the ''I love him/her I think he/she is great'' sense, but when deluded fans begin to imagine that their favourite celebrity is sending them secret messages via the telly or films and imagines they're having an intimate relationship with that celebrity then it's time for the men in white coats!
I know we joke about it but it really is an illness.
I posted this article in Vixens Chit Chat but I'm not sure if you saw it or not? It really is creepy what these people are capable of.
From Imagined Love to Spurned Lovers, Why Stalkers Often Cannot Accept Reality
By BRYAN ROBINSON Sept. 8, 2004
Dawnette Knight believed she was in love with Michael Douglas when she allegedly threatened to slice up his Oscar-winning wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and feed her to her dogs.
Neither Douglas nor Zeta-Jones had ever met Knight. She had become infatuated with Douglas after seeing him in movies such as Fatal Attraction. After reading about an alleged affair by Zeta-Jones in a supermarket tabloid, Knight sent the actress more than two dozen threatening letters and allegedly made repeated phone calls to her agents and hotels where the couple would stay.
Knight, who has admitted sending the letters, overdosed on barbiturates while in county jail after her arrest but a court-appointed psychiatrist found her mentally competent, and a judge ruled today she would stand trial on stalking charges. A pretrial hearing was to continue Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Experts say Knight's willingness to avenge Douglas for a supposed affair by Zeta-Jones illustrates the world celebrity stalkers often create when they believe they have a real relationship with the rich and famous.
"Celebrity stalkers tend to be psychotic," said Jack Levin, professor of criminology and director of the Brudnick Center on Conflict and Violence at Northeastern University in Boston. "They often possess rich fantasy lives in which they feel personally involved [with the celebrity]. Many of the celebrity stalkers actually imagine they are having an intimate relationship with their victims."
A Reality of Their Own
Sometimes celebrities have never had any physical contact with the stalkers who pursue them. Their stalkers may know them only as the character they play on a soap opera or major motion picture and refer to them primarily by their character's name.
Experts say celebrity stalkers tend to suffer mental illness and are so disenchanted with reality, or unable to cope with reality, that they create their own. And their favorite celebrity is the center of their imagined universe.
I deffinately agree with you there, poor Nic has had some over the years, sometimes I bet that these celebs would just like a chance to have a day where they are just normal people without all the fans or the deluded nutters invading their privacy, to be able to walk down the street without a bodyguard and just to have time to be themselves without the papps or as we say the Stalkers lurking in every corner, I can see why they buy these secluded islands away from nowhere so they can just be themselves, but Nic strikes me that he sometimes like to see or sign autographs for his fans and I think thats why he likes it over here in the Uk as he can be himself and enjoy what time he has over here without being disturbed too much
Unfortunately along with the fame comes the nutters! For every decent, genuine fan there's always one deluded nutcase or in Nicky's case quite a few! LMAO!!!
An Oregon woman accused of stalking actor John Cusack for years was released from jail Saturday after accepting a plea agreement that allowed her to avoid prison time.
Emily Leatherman, 34, pleaded no contest to felony stalking Friday. She was sentenced to five years' probation and mandatory psychological counseling. She was also ordered to stay away from the actor for 10 years.
Leatherman was arrested outside Cusack's Malibu residence in April. The actor had obtained a restraining order against her in 2006, but according to his representatives, she continued writing him threatening letters and visiting his home and office.
Leatherman has said she was victimized by a sex trafficking ring and contacted Cusack in an effort to get help. At her sentencing, she repeated those claims. The deal spared Cusack from testifying at a trial. In a statement read by a prosecutor, the actor said he did not know Leatherman before last spring when she appeared on the sidewalk outside his home shouting profanities.
"I do hope she receives counseling she needs," he said in the statement.
Leatherman has tangled legally with other celebrities. She was twice arrested outside actor Tom Cruise's Beverly Hills home and she once sought a restraining order against actor Nicolas Cage.
