What an absurd article. the person cuts him down and then says she likes to go to his films. I disagree with her. Maybe something is different about me, but i liked Bangkok Dangerous. I thought that he gave a good performance, especially at the end.
I agree with you Mgirl, it is absurb, I couldn't believe it when I found it, there is so many people out there that either hate him or love him, just like the article says, and so many people put down his movies, I normally just say that they are jealous, as how can they say they hate someone if they haven't really met them????, how do they really know a person either just by watching a movie, then they realise they hate the guy as the movie they were watching wasn't to their liking!!,
oh and by the way, when an actor gets people noticing them as much as he does, whether good or bad, it makes them more popular. So these people that wish to speak bad of him, are actually probably helping his career without even knowing it. I once did an interview for a small unknown show and then later the interviewer (which one of them was a woman) I had heard laughed at me behind my back and made one sly comment about me on the show. At first it hurt my feelings, but then later I found out it made more people take notice. So these people that say bad stuff , sometimes, it can work in your behalf. I think when no one says anything at all is when its bad. Though I really don't get people that bad mouth Nicolas Cage because I think he is better than lots of actors out there. There are some better than him, but he is way better than a lot of them.
