Great you got to see such a beautiful full moon Rosemary! :).such a shame the eclipse was not visible from Australia, because you would have got a lovely view by the sounds of it!

Don't know about the eclipse but when I was walking home from the bus stop, around 9:30pm (East Australia Coast time); I saw a beautiful full moon. It was nice because I wasn't expecting it. I'm not one of those moon-watch people so I don't really know the phases of the moon very well. It had been raining a bit during the day, and it was nice that when the clouds parted I got to see a bright big "orb" (as it is described by JK Rowling).
It is just so beautiful isn't it? Kind of puts things into perspective when you contemplate things like this I found this site with an explanation of the redness of the lunar eclipse http://www.MrEclipse.com/Special/LEprimer.html

Oh wow that would have been beautiful to have seen, i would have tried to get some pics, if the moon had been visible last night, just our luck for it to have been so overcast and misty, oh well better luck next time, in 7 yrs time
It was too overcast here too Scorpio! It is more than a bit gutting to miss seeing such a beautiful and magical occurence just because of the weather!
We will not be missing out on the mystical effects of such a cosmic event though, it has had an energizing and at the same time draining effect on me, especially emotionally; and my dreams are bizarre! This lunar eclipse has coincided with some other cosmic events which have added to its power, the position of saturn in relation to it in particular.
Maybe some of the other members saw it? It was visible from north and south America, Europe and Africa.
I had a look in the early hours, but i didn't see it, i'm wondering if the sky was too misty or foggy, as we have been getting some lately, even my youngest daughter wanted me to wake her to see it, so I didn't bother as it would have been a waste of time. Maybe if the sky was clear last night, it would have been better I was well looking forward to seeing that happen maybe next time, and i will have a telescope then
I'm going to set my alarm to have a look in the early hours I bet it looks wonderful, funny I was only saying to my youngest tonight that I knew there was going to be one, but i just didn't know the date, and funny enough, this early evening about 5ish, the moon looked quite big, and sort of pinkish, and thats when i was telling her about the luna eclipse happening sometime. Thanks for posting Lula and saying it was tonight in the early hours, I will try to get a glimpse of it, providing it's not foggy or misty that is
Keep a close eye on your dreams tonight vixens..for it is a total eclipse of the moon! The mystical among you probably already know Here in the UK the partial eclipse will begin around 1.45 am and the total eclipse will be between 3.01 - 3. 52. I am not sure about in other places of the world does anyone have any info? Total lunar eclipses are extremely beautiful and very rare. The colour of the moon turns from bright white to deep red, absolutely spectacular. In ancient writings it was described as turning 'blood red', with all kinds of interpretations. It would be great if you get a chance to see it, because the next total eclipse of the noon to be visible from the uk is not until September 2015 apparently!
