It is stupid, if they class Nic as a worst actor, they must be living with their eyes shut, can't they see all the movies that Nic is being cast for, or the movies that he has filmed or still in production, some people just don't have better things to do with their lives, imho jealousy is the key factor i think with these idiots slating Nic off.
If he wasn't a good actor, he would never get asked to do these movies, that they would find another actor plenty more out there, but it just goes to show how many directors and film producers do approach Nic with the scripts to see if he would like to star in the movies They must know he is a genuine talented actor
With nicolas cage, he is an acquired taste. I have spoken to some friends about him and not all of them agree that he is impressionable. He's not immediately likable because to be honest, he's not even very pretty looking. But he is very mature and there is an everyman quality about him. I found that he's not really an actor that you take to straight away but you appreciate him more and more when you've seen more movies with him in them.
Also the fact that compared to just about every other A-list actor out there, he is a very prolific movie maker, and when you take on a lot of projects, you expose more of yourself which is dangerous because the more that people see you, the higher the probability that they will start to hate you for whatever reasons. He said so himself, he's proud of the fact that he's been able to piss just about everybody off because the things he does are so different.
I just read this link of the Razzie nominations. They are nominating Nicolas Cage as a worst actor and also Adam Sandler as a worst actor. That is so stupid and ridiculous.
