The River Denial surges forth and leaves behind All that was cherished and so hard to find The sturdy roots of a love once so deep Finally gives way to a denial firmly steeped In fear and neglect and prideful sacrifice Happiness ultimately paying the price
Anguish takes hold of the soul in its' grip Screaming in pain as it's forced into a crypt Burying the emotions deep, deep, down inside Fashioning precipitous walls in a lame attempt to hide All that once was magical, pure, true and right The River Denial triumphantly drowns love from its' sight
