I remember the sugar mice, i dont know if you can still get them, if you visit one of these sweet shops that do the old time sweets in jars maybe they will do them, i use to like the strawberry bon bons, hell, they use to hurt my teeth, but i loved them, or the ruhbarb and custard sweets, you can still get them today, but they dont taste as good as they use to. Thinking back, some of the sweets today, wasn't as good as they were years ago smile

Raven...I remember the sugar mice and...cola cubes, pineapple cubes, black jacks, fruit salad, curly wurly, sherbert dip and jublees...OMG...no wonder I've got toothache thinking of all those sweets! Lol. biggrin

Bon, if you've never had a candy shrimp you haven't lived!! They're yummy!
I've never been keen on the flying saucers though.

Anyone remember the pink and white sugar mice? Can you still get them?
I fancy one NOW!!!

Kim...I love those sherbert flying saucers too but you're right...they do taste of cardboard! Lol. hmm

I love candy shrimps, i havent had them in ages, brings back memories of childhood sweets, or the other sweets with sherbert in them "flying Saucers", i use to love them, now to me they taste of cardboard bleh

A candy shrimp is a pink, soft sweet that's shaped like a shrimp!
I don't have a clue what the ingredients are but they are lovely!

Raven has made a good point here in that the seaside and sweets remind us of our youth and Nicky being so young too! biggrin

They don't come much weirder than that Corelli!
All I can think of is that we associate the seaside and sweets with youth and fun. You said Nic was alot younger too so perhaps it was about your sense of fun and excitement about meeting him!
Having him biting your neck sounds like good fun too, seems like you were enjoying it!!

As usual it was a bizzarre dream...like something out of a David Lynch movie! Lol...

I was walking along a British seaside promenade...it was one of those seaside resorts where there is a wall that goes down to the beach...and I saw Nic and a film crew filming on the sand.

Nic walked away from the filming and along the beach and I called to him 'Nic!''.
He looked up, waved and shouted ''hi!''.
I called ''Nic, do you remember me?, I met you outside Lancaster House in London when you were filming NT2''.
He called back ''Sure I do, you're Lesley''.
He climbed the wall and came over to me but strange thing is he was younger than he is now...he was young Nicky like he looked in Moonstruck and all his early movies!
We walked along the prom and found a bench to sit on.

Now this is where it gets crazy!...
a crew member came along with a silver tray full of pink sweets/candy and offered us some!
Nic didn't want any but I grabbed a handful and said ''you should try these Nic, they're lovely, I love pink sweets!''.
He declined and leant forward to kiss me and even stranger he had vampire teeth...like in Vampires Kiss! Lol...
Next thing he laid me on the ground, got on top of me and began biting my neck and I was laughing so much he bit me harder and harder!
