RE: Sleep paralysis...

That does seem very scary for you, especially being that the horse was black in color.

Hi Mgirl. That sounds very strange, like the exact opposite of sleep paralysis!
When I was younger and used to have hallucinations with the sleep paralysis I often used to see a large, black horse running towards me which was so scary.Thankfully that hasn't happened for a long time.

Hi Raven,  No I haven't had that, but i have had where i was just dozing off first falling asleep and i felt like i was leaving my body,  and then would wake up to prevent the feeling.  something like that, kind of hard to explain, but i haven't had that in a while it was like ten years ago.

Well....that would be scary as heck....being locked inside your body.  But, I was thinking more along the lines of .... does anything metaphysical ever happen during sleep paralysis???

Well...you always wake up during sleep paralysis and as you wake you can't move which is weird.
You know what's happeneing but it's strange all the same so I'd say that was
unusual! Lol.biggrinwink

Well, I sure could use to lose weight and that would probably help things but I'd still have the underlying problem.  Such fun!   At least, now they know what the problem is.  I had to stay 2 nights in a sleep clinic hooked up to all sorts of wires to find out but it was worth it.

I've had sleep apnea since I was a teenager.  Just never knew what it was until it was diagnosed about 2 years agon.  I always wondered why I'd wake myself up in the middle of the night with a huge gasp for air!

I get sleep paralysis every now and then.

My GP said it's nothing to worry about...it's just the brain and the body adjusting to waking up!
Even so..it's scary when it happens!hmmweirdfacebiggrinwink

Does anyone else have, or even know of, a condition that I have. It's called sleep paralysis. Its symptoms are that sometimes, when I wake up, I feel fully awake and yet I cant open my eyes or move my body. It can be extremely scary. An attack only lasts for a couple of minutes at most but can seem like forever.
When I was younger I used to have hallucinations when it happened but luckily I dont get that now.
The doctor says its more common than you think but I've only known one other person who has it.
