Yep, I did that with my Cody-boy when he was a tike. LOL.. And you know what scared the bejeebers outta me but something that he loved? I would put him in his little "Bouncy" thing, you know the deal you set up in a door way and they just bounce up and down?? Well he would get to bouncing so fast and high that I was worried that he was gonna bonk his little head on the doorway top! He never did though...............LOL

I've heard of parents resorting to using those kind of doors too! LOL!

It was a scary thing!!! After doing the same thing as Nic (putting pillows on the floor) to hopefully break his fall, we finally decided to put him in a very low bed with bed rails. He was much safer that way.
Problem then, tho.....was the fact that he could wander the house......when we were asleep! So...then we resorted to putting a 'gate' across his doorway so he couldn't escape his room (until he figured out how to climb OVER that thing too). I swear, I slept with one eye open for years.....LOL!
BTW.........apparently this is a very common problem. I've heard stories where a parent has resorted to installing a screen door with a latch in the doorframe of a kid's room so they couldn't run loose in the house while they were sleeping! LOL!
Ah......the joys of raising busy, busy, busy little ones! Parenthood, is def not for sissies!
Definately! Sissies need NOT apply! As for the whole pillow thingy on the floor we've done that too. But our youngest has already graduated to a toddler bed because this baby inside of me will be getting his crib soon. I have one of those doors for the nursery that opens in two pieces. The bottom half stays shut and the top opens? It's really neat. That way I can still hear what they're doing without worrying that they're flushing each other down the toilet.
I could easily see him with at least six kids or more. Like Mel Gibson. He has what? 14 kids or something like that? But he needs a little girl to make things interesting! hehehehe I want to have at least two more which would bring our brood to 5! That's how many my mom had too.

His son may share Superman's name, but it's Nicolas Cage who's the real superhero in the household, according to his wife Alice Kim. The Ghost Rider star spends every morning safeguarding16-month-old Kal-El's crib to ensure his safety.
I’ll get up in the morning and put pillows down in front of the crib to make sure it’s safe. I’m very careful. I make sure in the morning that he has all kinds of security there.
