Geesh....if your Baxter and my Furbie ever decided to shack up together, I bet their biggest battles would be over who got to use the toilet first in the morning! LOL!
My furball doesn't ever hang around when I'm in the shower or tub. She's almost averse to it.
Now.....one of my sister cats (Satin & Lace, who have both passed on) used to actually get up on the tub ledge and would carefully walk along any body part that was still exposed to the air. Once my sweet Lace carefully tiptoed across my knees to my boobs, up my shoulders and then tried to sit on my head while I was soaking in the tub. I tell no lie!
Man........she was my little shadow, that one. Had to be touching me all the time. :) I miss her. She was the baby God gave me before my human babies arrived!

I have a Maine Coon cat (prob about 4 years old now) that I brought home from a no kill shelter about 2 years ago. Her name is Furbie the Furrball.....think about it....have you ever seen a Maine Coon cat up close? Anyhooo.....even tho I put out a nice bowl of fresh cold water for her every morning, she prefers to take her beverage from the powder room toilet. It's really an odd sight to turn the corner into the bathroom to see a cat perched like a person relieving themselves on the toilet but with her head down in the bowl. Usually when you do catch her in the act, her head pops up and she looks at you with her huge eyes and basically tells you to wait your turn.
Nothing will budge her from her 'throne' until she's ready to leave it......
Anyhooo, just a bit ago, when I first sat down at my computer with my lunch, I saw her out of the corner of my eye go strolling down the hall. I didn't know where she was going and wasn't really paying any attention to her. All of a sudden I heard a huge SPLASH and a thrashing around coming from the bathroom.
My poor Furbie apparently FELL INTO THE TOILET! LOL!
Before I could run and save her, I heard her flop onto the floor and then saw her come strolling out of the bathroom looking like a wet mop. She looked at me the way that cats do......and you could really see in her eyes that she was trying to hold onto what little dignity she had left!
Such humiliation!!!
Oh gads.... so now I have to give my little firecracker a bath. This should be fun. If I should disappear from this site, rest assured the cat won the fight over the bath and I am laying bitten and bleeding somewhere in my house.
Ahhh.........ya gotta love the creatures.......
OMG..too funny! Bax is the same way with the toilet and I tease him that he is in love with the toilet, but she will only break his heart and lets anyone sit on her. And every morning when I am putting on the warpaint..er..makeup, he is on the toilet with his head down, one little paw smacking the water, or he will DRINK out of the toilet (yuck!), and I always warn him that if he falls in, I will get him out, but not until I flush a few times. Mean mom, I know, lol. Your right, its damned funny with cats and I am warning Baxter as I type about what happened to your furball. Heehee. He also loves to hop into the shower when I get out and play in the water. Might that he was a duck in a past life..along with being a dog in another??

Mine freaks out when I look directly in his eyes and stare him down. His hair goes up a bit and he takes off running, lol. And Mrs. C, sure you were talking about my kitty, sure................
