I really liked this one....although I find myself enjoying Nic's R rated films the most (in most cases)...I enjoyed seeing him as a paramedic *sigh* I wish he'd come save me from a heart attack
Another all time favourite of mine! I'd say it wasn't so dark as more black comedy or maybe I've just got a warped sense of humour! Lol.
Nicky is wonderful as mentally tortured Frank Pearce with a strong supporting cast...Patricia Arquette, John Goodman, Ving Rhames and Tom Sizemore...and director Martin Scorsese and Queen Latifah using their vocal skills as the ambulance controllers.
Set in a rainy, seedier side of New York this movie rates alongside another of Scorseses masterpieces ''Taxi Driver''.
Great director, great cast, gritty locations, grim storylines and a fantastic soundtrack this is one of Nicky's best movies and it's lovely to see him working alongside his then wife Patricia Arquette.
