I have to say, rumors of marriages in trouble always abound, so I take it on a grain of salt.
As for if he is depressed or is Bi-Polar, I know now all about depression. Since being diagnosed with PTSD a few years ago, I have suffered major panic/anxiety attacks, nightmares, self isolation and major depression that can last a few days to a few weeks. Even the strongest soul can fall pray to it and it will knock you for a loop. It can take you into very dark corners of your soul and expose them wide open, and sometimes once you go into those corners, its a true dantes level of hell getting back out.
As far as the Bi-Polar, my son has it bad along with ADHD. One minute they are up, next down. Sometimes lacking judgement skills, always impulsive. Depending on the severity of it, one can however learn to work with it with either medications, both homopathic and pharma, excercise, learning to foucs by doing mental excercises like reading and talking about what you just read, etc. Eating a healthy diet also helps.

We are all Just great fans of Nicolas Cage and his work and we don't want him to have problems in his life, we all wish him love and happiness. As I've said before we love Nicky unconditionally. We'll ALWAYS be here for him but we'll NEVER judge him.
If...and I say IF...he is going through depression or is bi polar then he's going through a terrible time. A lot of people who have never suffered from depression or know anyone who has depression think it's a case of ''cheer up and pull yourself together'' but it isn't as easy as that. It's got nothing to do with being unhappy. Depression is an illness. It doesn't matter wether you're rich or poor, famous or not it can effect anyone.
As someone who has suffered from depression I can empathise with Nicky as all the signs are there. I actually cried last night at the thought of this beautiful man going through this terrible personal crisis. I really hope he gets some professional help.
After reading the article i do want to say that it is not like what I hear about him. I have met waiters that have waited on him in restaurants and they say he is very nice very humble and very generous. so for the article to say that he was not nice to the staff of hotel, it does not seem right, or something is not right because that is not his reputation to be like that. The Chateau Marmont is a nice hotel, i have been to the bar there that has butterflies all over the ceiling, its cool.
We will all be his best fans and love his work no matter what his personal life. so, he should just do whatever he needs to be happy and live a good life, whatever that may be. No one would judge him,nor have they judged him in the past of his other marriages. and I just watched DRIVE ANGRY and Nicolas was great in it!

According to Star Magazine Nic and Alice are heading for a divorce.
I know at this stage it's just gossip but with Nicky's recent New Orleans incident and this report of him at a hotel in Hollywood I'm wondering if Nicky and Alice will divorce?
I wish he wasn't going through all of this but it sounds to me like he's suffering from depression or, as the article says, is bi polar?
