RE: how movie stars lose weight

One of the downsides of living here in London is that we mostly get cold, gloomy weather which makes us want to eat stodgy food such as stews, pies and hot dinners so it's been NICe this past week as We're having hot weather at the moment which is good for wanting to eat healthy food such as salads, fruit and veggies.

I've started going swimming with two of my friends and not only does it make you feel fit and invigorated it's pure bliss in this hot weather!biggrinwink

Thanks for that info MGirl.smile

I personally have found the best way to lose weight is to eat sensibly...like you say small portions, fish and chicken breasts and plenty of veggies and fruit are the best way to lose weight and get healthy.
Also drink plenty of water and stay off coffee and fizzy drinks such as cola.
I also find walking and swimming regularly keeps you fit.

The worst way to try and lose weight is to go on fad diets and crash diets as they never work and jogging is a no no too as all that does is make your inner organs
distort which isn't good for you.smile

And btw...have the occasional treat...a little of what you fancy does you good!biggrinwink

I def agree with that Lesleysmile crash or faddy diets never work, ok granted good for short term crash weight loss, but at the end of the day it WILL go back on..lol
eating sensibly like you say, plenty of fruit, veggies, lean meat and fish is a great way, even like you say a treat won't hurt, even places like weight watchers/slimming world say you can have a daily treat, at least that way you are not starving yourself of them, so at the end of the day eating at least one tiny choc bar is better than going without the entire diet than pigging out when you do have one.

That diet Mgirl is great if you have the time and money to do it, which in my case both is a no no, as some diets do cost money, time and effort, as you get older sometimes that ain't the caseno, but even so, i bet you will still lose weight by it on either dietsmile

I was recently at a health club and spoke to a woman personal trainer that has trained some actors/actresses and models.  she tells me the best way to lose weight is to eat very small portions every two-3 hours.  to eat mostly chicken breasts and veggies. maybe some oatmeal at breakfast. to have a protein shake with a bannana in it before working out.  to do 40minutes to one hour of cardio exercise (like a treadmill) 6 days a week.  to also do some light weights 2 OF THOSE DAYS.  to make sure that your protein intake is the amount that you weigh in grams. if you weigh 140 then its 140 grams of protein a day.  to measure your food.  to eat small portions but more often so that your metabolism keeps going.  so eat mainly veggies and chicken or fish.  and protein drinks with fruit but minimal fruit.  i thought i'd share this with everyone.  i gained a little weight after i quit modeling  i gained 18 pounds, so i need to get the weight off.
