Mark Twain,   Bel air, Ca. is a gorgeous area and even has some lavender colored leaves on some of  the trees there.  I remember once seeing an article that showed some of the pics of the inside of that mansion. Maybe Corelli still has a link to that somewhere.

The article posted below says it's located in the Bel Air area of Los Angeles, California!smile

Me too MGIRL!  Folks here in Hollywood are saying that it's not so much finding a buyer for the home... From what I've heard, Nic has really eccentric taste in design and for homes the size of Copa, they almost always come furnished which is what you're also paying for but, the home would need alot of work in terms of replacing alot of the furniture and art.  Or, the buyer would have to love bold colors and design - lol!

Not to mention, due to the current economic downturn, even the rich would have problems handling the hefty price tag that comes with the home.

The cool thing is, now that it's going up for auction, it's almost guaranteed to find a buyer even if it's the bank which holds the loan for the house - GOOD LUCK NIC!!

Okay... I know this isn't very positive, but how bad is Nic's situation?  It appears as though Nic can't really afford to hold on to any of his properties.

Well, that's not true, he's still holding tight to the modest home in England and the home in the Bahamas.

The cool thing is, he exec produced "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" which will be probably one of the biggest hits of his career which means mega-dollars on the back end for Nic as an actor as well as a producer.  Plus, all of the upcoming movies he's slated to film.

Hopefully, he won't incur any more debt and payoff what is currently existing and move forward with his life.

After a year on the market listed at $29.999 million, then at $17.5 million, Cage's famous house was relisted in early September 2009, with the realtor asking for sealed bids starting at $9.95 million.

And then we heard it sold. Now, there's this via ActiveRain: "On 3/18/2010 a Notice of Sale was recorded against the title to 363 Copa De Oro Rd...Cage bought the house in 1998 for $6.5 Million, but over the years the property was refinanced and borrowed against several times to the extent (that according to Public Records), over $17 Million is currently owed on the property."

Apparently, the house didn't sell and it's going on the auction block!

HERE IS ANOTHER INDEPTH STORY!!

REGARDING NIC'S PROPERTY PORTFOLIO - Beware... The read is pretty lengthy but quite interesting - indeed!
