It's interesting that you point that out.  I was talking to a friend the other day.  What she pointed out to me was, in these rough economic times, people have little patience or sympathy for millionaires or billionaires who (in her opinion) were wasteful with their money.

Thus, when people hear of these stories of millionaires, billionaires and celebs losing their fortunes, they have little remorse in what you call
"poison that seems to flow from peoples fingers."

Possibly, most of these people who write hateful things compare their situations, may it be past or present, to that of whom they are writing about.  Sort of a way of releasing their own frustrations with their own lives.  Yes - it's quite sad and can become very hurtful to the person they are talking about, though I'm sure we've all said and done things that we wish we could take back.

Can you imagine what people like the Kardashian sisters and Paris Hilton must go through?  How they must deal with the constant negative and hateful press DAILY!!

These are the same type of people that post over at IMDB...the more you take the bait the more they will try to wind you up!
The best way to deal with these morons is to IGNORE THEM!hmm

Nic's loyal fans know the type of man he is and that's all that matters.smile

So many small minded people in this worldno,  people jump to so many wrong conclusions, perhaps we will never know half of what goes on, guilty to proven innocent is springing to mind with some of these idiots that post on there. Maybe Nic did enjoy a lavish lifestyle, and who can blame him??, but I don't think it was down to his compulsive buying (as they say) that led to his downfall now,  and I do not believe that Nic wasn't investment savvy, he was just as savvy as the rest of them on the circuit, just that timing was bad due to all the recession and having to sell his properties at a huge loss.no

Nic strikes me as the kind of guy that loves to lavish wonderful gifts on those around him, maybe he just has some people in his life that are and will take advantage of his generosity, and I think that is so sad for such a nice guycry

Thanks N4L.  I did post, but being as I am new...it has to be approved first so I do not know when it will post.

I'm not saying his life style is right or wrong, it is not mine and therefor not my lane to make judgement on.  What I was trying to point out is the poison that seems to flow from peoples fingers into the keyboard with little reason.

To Soldier Girl:  Go for it!  In fact, we should all post comments under the article in question!

And you're right, EVERYONE has skeltons, or at least something in their past that would cause true embarassment should it get out!

But, as I mentioned before, negative news is the way of the world!  It exists!  But I think you are among other strong voices that will certainly help to keep things FAIR AND BALANCED!  Rock on Soldier Girl!

I know this was bound to happen...naysayers and those that feed off anothers woes, but really I was disgusted in not only the article but the comments left under it.

Are we really that pathetic as humans in todays Society?  So desperate for the blood of any one else (as long as its not ours), that we enjoy...even thrive on situations like this?  So lacking empathy and understanding that we actually take the time to post hateful and snide remarks about someone we do not even know, much less the WHOLE truth about the actual circumstances?  What a shame.

I say grow up people and focus on YOUR own house and life.  I am sure if we put you under a huge looking glass, we can extract lots of skeletons and dirty laundry from your past, present and future.

And yes, I think I will post this comment under that article.  Probably receive even nastier responses from it, but I'm ok with that.

it is interesting!  I would have LOVED to go to that Christmas party that they wrote about.  It sounded amazing.
