Although it was an OK film, personally, I think it's not one of Nic's best, Knowing was far much better to watch, I enjoyed that one alot better than Bangkok dangerous, and I think ones like Season of the witch and the sorcerer's apprentice will be good moviessmile

Hm, I like the way you looked at it Johnny. I feel the same way about the character development...Joe seems like the kind of character that the viewer is not supposed to know much about

Really enjoyed this film. I can see why many didnt -its slow paced and not much character development but I think the " coldness" is highly suited to the film and we dont really get to know Joe. But I dont think we are supposed to. A mysterious character that, unfortuantly, was taken by man reviewers of Nic giving a lazy performance. But I disagree.

Highly enjoyable. Great locations and superb cinematography that I think just wouldnt be " mainstream action" enough for some people.

Sam I agree with you on the cultural experiences this film displays. I love the scenes with Nic and the girl he likes. The way the two of them communicate is so nice, and the cultures that are seen throughout the film from the food to the buildings.

I bought it this past week. And I have to agree with MGirl. I also liked the alternate ending MUCH BETTER than the original ending. And while I don't really like the violence that this film has in it, I do love the beauty the film expresses through culture. I've never been to that part of the world but I felt like I had after watching this movie. Nic is great in it. He doesn't have to raise his voice to get a point across. He only gives a look or a smile or a jerk of the hand. And sometimes a gun!  LOL!

Well one thing I have to admit, It's not one of my best ones, I didn't mind it, but there is more films that I enjoyed watching of Nic's more than Bangkok Dangerous, and I'm looking forward to seeing the ones in the near future, Knowing and Season of the Witchaww

I haven't seen Bangkok Dangerous yet!

I will buy the DVD when I feel up to going to the DVD shop.
At the moment I've been out a few times to do grocery shopping but it's tired me out after having the flu so I'm not too fussed about having to wait to see it.biggrinwink

Oh yeah I can hardly wait. It's funny how "personally" I take it when Nic gets bad reviews.

I finally saw it as well Loew, I agree the ending was sad, my DVD has an alternate ending on it and it's not nearly as depressing.  I won't spoil it for you though.  I don't know why this movie got such bad reviews.  It's certainly not my favorite Nic movie but it's way better than Fire Birds!

I also agree with many of the reviewers that Nic's hair is a bit strange in this film - of course I love him anyway.

So I finally saw Bangkok Dangerous on Tuesday when it released on DVD and all I can say is "wow". I think it was a lot better then the reviewers made it sound, and I quite enjoyed it! Though the ending is a bit sad I really liked this movie...I'll definatly purchase it to add to my collection in the near future smile.gif
