I adore the look on his face, it seems rather like he is playing the rascal or up to some mischief (SP).  LOL.    And I hardly think GR was a "Flop".  Pffst!

Nicolas Cage made a special visit to Diff (SUPPLIED)

Last night, Hollywood star Nicolas Cage made a special visit to the Dubai International Film Festival to honour producer Charles Roven with the Outstanding Filmmaker of the Year Award.

Roven is best known for producing 2005's Batman Begins and its sequel The Dark Knight, which released earlier this year. Both films have netted a combined total of $1.3 billion (Dh4.7bn) at the global box-office.

When Emirates Business caught up with Roven, he exclaimed excitement about the upcoming award and said: "It's always an honour to receive an award, and it makes it even more special as I'm receiving it from Nicolas Cage.

"Dubai is a great place and I look forward to coming here in the future."

Meanwhile, Cage who hasn't struck lucky at the box-office lately, with a string of flops in his wake, including the much-hyped Ghostrider and Bangkok Dangerous, was quoted on the red carpet as saying: "This is my first time in Dubai, and it was even more special as I had to present the award to Chuck.

"If you invite me to Dubai again, I will come," he said.

He also talked about his next film with 'Chuck' called Seasons of Witch.

Cage said: "We are interested in shooting a sequel of Ghost Rider. The producers are talking about it. But nothing has been firmed up as yet."

The award ceremony was followed by the screening of the festival's surprise film Rachel Getting Married starring Anne Hathaway
