As per norm, I had a super busy week filled with Doctor appointments, college..etc!  But today really was a great day.  The General of the Hospital knew I wanted to work in the Criminal Investigation Division and he also knew I have both Law Enforcement and Human Resource experience.  Yesterday CID called and asked me if I could come in this morning for an interview as I was recommended to them as a good hire for the dept.  So in I went at 0900am today and they told me they had already done a background check on me, noticed I had a clearance level of Secret and was in the Coast Guard...etc.  While one gentleman was talking to me standing up, another was taking note of how I looked (clean uniform type stuff)...and offered me a job on the spot!  I am really excited, I have wanted to work in the Criminal Investigation Division most of my Army career and here was my chance, so I accepted!

I also got a call from my Case Manager saying that my board has come back and they found me unfit for duty and will be giving me a % and a nice severance check.  I still have about three or four months because of paper work going back and forth between DC and here.  So I am going to use this time to adjust to my new job and decide when I am almost out in the upcoming months if I want to stay with the CID here in TX  and get to know my co-workers and network or seek a transfer to Colorado (by this time I will be working as a civilian in the Dept.  Still doing crim. investigations, just getting paid as a civilian).  So yeah...great end to a busy week!  biggrin
