My friend Diana (Dovey) in California can't stand it out there as it's too hot and dry!
California is a lovely place but I agree with her...you can get fed up with too much heat as you can any other type of weather.

I think our beautiful British countryside is due to the fact that we get a lot of rain here which makes the grass, trees and shrubs grow NICely but I have to agree with you Kim when you say it's not all doom and gloom as people think.
We do get some very NICe weather over here especially in my favourite season Autumn when you get cold crisp sunny days with clear blue skies.biggrinwink

NICe article,biggrinbiggrin, funny you should post that bit Lesley, that guy Chris I use to chat to who lives not far from LA, says he loves the rain, and what with living in a valley, he has bad allergies hmm, seems like they all love our british weather,biggrin

It's great to know that Nic prefers living over here than anywhere else, as it's beautiful countryside, somerset is, he chose well, I have to admit, England does have some beautiful countryside, it's not all doom and gloom as people make out, we can have some lovely weather, ok, granted we do get quite a bit of rain, but then again, Nic loves itbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin, so it can't be badwink

This bit really caught my eye!....

Forget the island in the Bahamas and the castle in Germany, Cage claims he is happiest on his sprawling British estate near Bath.

He said:"I genuinely like the British weather. I like the rain, I like the gloomy clouds.

"I've never had much luck with my allergies and sinuses and the rain keeps the pollen count down, so I feel healthier.

"In Europe, I have culture, sophistication, art and different points of view at my fingertips.

"At this time in my life, I want to give that to my family and I want to grow from that."

So Hollywood's loss could be our gain.

'My family were there - so I got off set and took them home'
