You are welcome smile.gif it was a NICe journey thinking of those romantic films, especially the Nic ones wink.gif
Leaving Las Vegas was not mentioned in the links Loew, just me who brought that up.smile.gif
I like An Officer and a Gentleman too Scorpiolady, also Love Story and Wuthering Heights.
Now I'm on a mission to get City of Angels floating.gif, the most beautiful romantic film heart.gif, on one of these lists...biggrin.gif
Who can forget the love scene between Seth and Maggie? or the scene when they are both wrapped up in the blanket ? 'Mrs and Mrs Plate'! O to make love with a fallen angel sadangel.gifbiggrin.gif

City of Angels should definitely be up there smile.gif I know what you mean about Leaving Las Vegas, I guess it is a more of a tragic romance, where as Moonstruck is more of a romantic comedy. Interesting, because in shakespearian terms, a comedy is piece that ends with marriage of the protagonist or hero, and a tragedy with their death.

When I was surfing today I saw Leaving Las Vegas described as "one of the most romantic films of the last ten years". A well deserved accolade. One of the best descriptions I have read of Leaving Las Vegas is "it burns like bourbon splashed on an exposed heart".... Wow.

Wild at Heart has its moments too.. wink.gifbiggrin.gif

Thanks for posting the link Lula, i was quite suprised the ones that have been voted as well,
I love moonstruck, pretty woman, titanic, and an officer and a gentleman, I'm suprised that City of Angels isn't therehmm, I didn't think Leaving Las Vegas would be, as it's not really classed as a true romantic film as such, although there is romance in itsmile

It being Valentines Day, my mind, and heart, have been filled with the world of romance.heart.gif And of course, the first place my mind landed on, was planet Cage, and all the incredible romantic films Nic has played in.
Needless to say, the day has been.. Emotional. wink.gifbiggrin.gif
I had a little look on the net and it was great to find Moonstruck listed in the top 14 'most romantic films of all time' and top 10 'most romantic lines of all time'. Can't help wondering where City of Angels and Leaving Las Vegas are in these lists though! confused.gifbiggrin.gif
