Same here, i use to have trouble learning the French language, my youngest daughter at the moment at school is learning spanish as well as french, and she says even spanish is hard to learn as well, to be honest i think if you live in the country where you have to learn their language, i think you are more likely to pick up the language quicker, than having to learn by tutorial tapes etc.
Wow, nice articles. I wonder why he's having trouble with German? I thought that would have been the easiest language to learn because it's so similar to English. I suppose it is a bit more gutsy sounding. French is the one I always have problems with because the spelling looks nothing like the way it's actually pronounced.
I thought he did really well with all the languages he had to speak in Lord of War. He even managed most of the Mandarin dialogue without a foreign accent. There was just one word where he sounded a bit off. I was pretty impressed by it. But then again, he only had to speak about two sentences in total.
