Nic..it is so hard to find the right words..and to not sound righteous, when I have no right to opinionate on your career or life. But, I think this is one of those times it is important to speak out, and I can only speak from the highest truth of my heart.
Your amazing acting career has length and width and depth.
Successfully strong and long, it is ever renewing, and your fan base is continuously growing. Your many young fans are a testament to your latest works and your older fans are still here because of it as well as your impressive past body of films!
Your acting career is wide and deep and continually expanding, impressively diverse and always incredible. Would a pianist only stick to a few notes on the keyboard when he has the whole piano to play with? And you play with such expression and tone, colour and musicality: with such range and infinite creativity. You bring artistry to every role. This is why I am your fan and what in my opinion makes makes you the most incredible actor.
Yes some fans have genre preferences, but this is not a comment on your acting talent, more a yearning to see more of your brilliance in their favourite genre.
The majority of us admire you all the more for the diversity in your film choices and variety of your roles; and consider your talent to be all the greater because of it.
Sometimes the media machine gets stuck in a particular groove which has nothing to do with TRUTH. It must be so hard not to get caught up in the web they spin, but it is only an illusion, a self-perpetuating
Ideology. The success of your films and the words of your loyal fans are more probably reflections of the real truth. I hope our opinions could maybe be a homing thought for you, an anchor when the seas are stormy and you are being pulled in all directions. And maybe the power of our truthful intent will help heal the conveyorbelt carelessness of the media and others.
But ultimately we know that the only truth for you is that which is inside your beautiful heart. Noone could blame you for being tired. We can only thankyou for all you have brought to life, you have given tirelessly enough for more than one lifetime .
I hope your soul can continue to have the radiant strength to sidestep the sh*tology that has nothing to do with art, which seems to come with filmmaking; and that you will allow yourself the scope, in whichever direction your happiness takes you, to continue to expand from the pure creative source that is you.
And we your fans will always be happy and grateful for the past, happy and hopeful for the future and for the present, happy and here.

Same goes for me too, but all i can say is Nic, don't give up, just because you feel that the fans out there are beginning to tire of you, that you have reached the age where fans won't appreciate you as much as they did when you was younger, you are more further away from the truth than you know Us vixens and all your fans would love for you to continue acting

I must say that as one of your biggest, youngest, fans you've definatly made a huge influence in my life. A lot of my music tastes have come from watching all of your movies! Just because you're getting another year older doesn't mean you should stop doing what you do  Forget the few negative comments you've gotten from rude people and pay more attention to those that really care and love you and your work!  You've never dissappointed me or my friends with any of your movie choices, and I know that you make us all happy whenever we see one of your movies.
