Well said ladies!
Personally speaking I find that Nic is getting sexier and more handsome the older he gets! As for Nic announcing he's fed up with acting...a lot of men go through a midlife crisis when they hit a certain age...they call it the male menopause! Maybe he's going through some personal crisis????
That link is to a strange interview. I don't know what Nic is feeling, but men in their forties are very sexy, especially as actors. Also, I remember reading him say in an interview several years back, that acting is a therapy and release of energy for him. I don't know how someone can be an actor, and then not want to do it anymore. Acting is in the blood of actors and I am sure it would not be easy to leave the industry. Nic is an excellent actor and I know MANY actors/actresses that have learned a lot about acting by watching his great performances in his films. Where does he get that people are tired of seeing him? That is NOT TRUE. His box office sales were great for his last film and people loved him. Why does he feel that forties is too old? It certainly is not and he looks great. Why is he having an issue with that? He should not be, he is a very sexy man and a very talented actor. and myself and some of my beautiful friends in the modeling industry think he is a very nice looking man and love his films. So why does he feel forties is too old for films? It IS not... It would be sad if he left the industry, at least he could direct. he has such talent. I don't feel that many of the newer younger actors that have the talent he does. and one does not have to be a movie star to be an actor. maybe he could start acting in indies. where is he getting these ideas that people do not like to watch him in films? That is not so...
You know, for me..watching an actor in his 40's is sexy as hell. He is more exotic and interesting now than he was in his younger years..at least in my book. That ****y attitude has been replaced by someone who has been there, done that and survived to tell. Someone who lends credit to any role instead of playing what he is not. Nicolas, you are not boring too watch, you are more intelligent and provacative..all spelling errors aside, lol. If you feel the need to slow down in the movie making area, so be it. But that one or two you do make every now and then will just be all the more powerful!! Live your life for you and your family, not for Hollyweird and people who can not appreciate you for you.

Btw, did anyone notice Nic said he is not going to be working again for another 8 months? I wonder when that interview was made. Maybe the Melbourne filming of The Knowing is not in March after all

I agree with you all. He IS making awesome films! look at his success this last year! I enjoy the whole spectrum of his films and I have never felt that he should specialise in one type, diversity showcases his talent even more. As his fan, of course I want Nic to continue acting forever! to keep developing and exploring and never give up, but I also want him to be HAPPY!
