I have that particular Letterman interview on DVD!
It's quite funny when Nic is telling David Letterman about Moby and Sheba...he makes a snake like shape with his hand and immitates the snakes saying they stare at him as if to say ''what are you f*****g looking at mother f****er!'' or words to that effect! Letterman looks horrified at Nic's comic outburst and asks him to repeat what he just said! Thing is the swear words are bleeped out..if that was on a British chat show ie: Jonathan Ross it wouldn't have been censored! Lol.
I don't think I saw that interview. I know he's been on the Letterman show a few times, and I only saw him when they were talking mainly about his new film Next
I agree Loew he says it was after he mentioned them on The Late Show with David Letterman. They obviously got it into their heads it was a problem after that, even though it hadn't been a problem at all when they knew nothing about it did you see that interview btw? I read about it. It was meant to be a good one

Aw that stinks, I wonder why his neighbors suddenly decided to threaten him with this, since they've delt with it for 3 years We've got some neighbors here that are annoying with their roosters, now I know they're not poisonous, but they wake everyone up in the summer, and even though they shouldn't have them people don't complain to the township. If Nic's snakes have been in his house and they haven't been bothering anyone I don't see why they should threaten him with a lawsuit
Wow I love the sound of the bearded dragon! I'm ok with snakes, mice, rats.. but spiders... For some reason I just get this primal fear.. I'm a bit too familiar with the heartbreak of giving up your pets. It's like losing your family. I had to give up my 10 year old cats, brother and sister, when I became too ill to look after them. It's probably the most tragic thing that has ever happened to me. I just find it a comfort to think of them safe, happy and well loved by someone else and put aside, you know, my needs for having them around. Now I'm going to look up this bearded dragon!

That is so right Lula, it must be heartbreaking to give up your pets that you love just because some idiot neighbours may have a fear of snakes, a neighbour of mine, use to have loads of pet rats, i'm not afraid of them, i use to handle them, as both my daughters when they were younger had pet rats, and would you believe how tame they can become,
I'm not afraid of anything like that, snakes, lizards, rats anything, if i had the time and patience i would love a bearded dragon, as they can become really friendly and would quiet happily sit on shoulder for most of the day A woman once walked around our Local Asda store with one perched quiet happily on her shoulder whilst she was doing her shopping.. It's lovely and peaceful to sit for hours watching animals, reptiles etc, i use to when i had a tank full of tropical fish! Now you know why fish is always in dentists..LOL, takes away the fright of sitting there waiting
Bye bye Moby and Sheba. Poor snakes to lose their home and owner. Nic is very gracious about it, but must be very sad to let them go. He said in that 'man on a mission' article Corelli posted 'I loved them, I watched them for hours'. Maybe it was part of his adrenalin/adventure therapy cos their venom was lethal. You are right Scorpiolady, why did he have to give them up when they were very safely contained? I think I read in the past he had a huge room for them within which was a huge cage. Let's just hope they go to a good home where they will as happy as they must have been living with Nic

I just can't understand some people, with law suits, if you keep any tropical or slightly dangerous animal in your own home, and you look after it well, there should be no problem as long as the pets home is secure, some people just don't have better things to do with their lives apart from make everyone elses a misery' Here is the article
