I enjoy both my veggies and meat! Someday I would love too have a veggie and fruit garden, I adore fresh picked fruits and veggs. But honestly, I am a wolf at heart when it comes too meat. Bring on a medrare steak, more rare than medium, lamb ribs, ham hocks...................drool!

I've been a veggie since I was a teenager (so many years!!). Alot of my friends and family are meat eaters and I'd never preach to anyone as, I agree, it's a personal choice.

That would be great a garden full of animals! Lol one day, I'd like to grow my own veggies too i've got a thing about beetroot, i think its the colour, i love to eat it raw. I said i was a vegan at heart but that doesn't mean i always succeed! I don't preach either, its a personal choice. All different all equal. Sometimes i eat meat or fish mainly because of current circumstances and if it is given to me. I've never eaten dairy because i'm allergic to it. Took my Mum ages to discover I couldn't have milk, I was so sick! It's kind of a whole thing for me, not a religious thing, but a kind of saying thanks to the life that's giving me life. I've been like it since I was a kid, I wasn't told to be like it, my parents used to worry about me! i even used to talk to the dandelions i picked for my rabbit from my dad's allotment! i used to tell them their life was giving my rabbit life!

Yep that's true, one of my neighbours has a garden full of chickens, i can hear them, i would love a garden full of ducks, but then i won't eat my crispy duck at the chinese then
I'm with Lesley on this one It's true, you can eat meat and still be an animal lover, ok granted, i won't touch rabbit as i have a pet rabbit, but that doesn't mean to say i will become a veggie, it's just the way i am really, i can't eat rabbit whilst mine is in his hutch in the garden,
And it's true if we didn't eat meat then the animals would become extinct, or we could end up like Milton Keynes, with concrete cows in the field
Well...we all have our own views on this one but I would like to say you CAN eat meat and still care for animals!
The thing a lot of animal lovers and vegetarians don't understand is if we never ate any meat animals would become extinct because farmers wouldn't keep herds of cows or sheds full of chickens as pets!
I think food carries energy and it matters to me how it was grown or how the animals were looked after how it's prepared and eaten. i know this isn't a very popular concept and gets criticised as too pc, but it's just my way and what I believe. What I love about London is it has everything, from traditional to modern, and you could probably find any kind of food you want there!

I love Haggis. although people don't like it because how it's made etc, i even love black pudding, now i know people that won't touch that as it has pig's blood in and everything else mixed in with it, if the food tastes nice, and i love eating it, to be honest i dont really care what's in it or how it's made
Ahhhhhh..Haggis! I tried and loved it when I was visiting Scotland years ago. At first when I asked for it at a lovely pub, they were a wee bit hesitant because of what is in it. But I assured them I would be fine and had ate worse in my day. It was wonderful and I ended up having it about everyday!

WOW! love it! What a coinkidink! He's either read those posts or psychic, and got on the old dog and bone right sharpish to the Mail on Sunday, or it's one of those lovely bits of serendipity! There was me thinkin of headin back down south..but..Bangers and mash and eel pie.. Hardly the place for vegans at heart, mind you there's always the bubble and squeak! I say vegans at heart, cos there are times, you know, when i just need some meat inside me...te he! Sorry about that I reckoned I could get away with being naughty on Lesley's birthday!

He mentions bangers and mash, bubble and squeak and eel pie!
If you happen to be reading this babe bubble and squeak is great...you must try it but...to really enjoy it you'll have to go into a local cafe (which we native Londoners pronounce CAFF!) and order a lorry drivers breakfast...full English with EVERYTHING...eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried slice (bread), baked beans and DOUBLE bubble (bubble and squeak!) and slices of bread and butter all washed down with a HUGE steaming mug of hot tea!
If any of you are wondering...bubble and squeak is mashed potato and greens all mixed together and fried!
I found this very interesting piece this morning, i can't help laughing at the way he explains about british life, its exactly the convo myself and Lesley were having last night
