"I try to do as many stunts as they'll let me do, I think it's important for the audience to feel the actor's really doing it" Nic interview 2000. "You try to do as much as you can, but inevitably the studio wants you to finish the movie". Nic on doing his own stunts in Ghost Rider.
We recently talked about how Nic did some of his own driving in the London carchase scene in NT2. We know that Nic uses stunts to overcome his fear of heights and that he everso bravely did those stunts in City of Angels. He is a very dedicated actor and it is to his credit that he really likes to put himself out there in his roles, not just in the physical sense either. I am frustrated that I can't find it..maybe someone else can.. I also read an interview where Nic was saying he did like to do his own stunts, but also knows where the line is drawn. I admire that, and I don't think doing stunts is about ego at all for him. If something is too dangerous, he won't do it.

Reading around a bit, I was pleasantly surprised at how much of his own stunts that he does. It's very mixed too: stunt cars, archery, foreign languages, musical instruments, etc... You get the feeling that he wants to be there no matter what. It's nice.
Sorry, I'm pointing out the obvious here, but it seems that the more of his movies that I watch (yes, I have been on a viewing spree lately), the more intrigued I am by his work. I suppose its to his credit that I am now more open to adult movies, where as previously I'd feel it was a big taboo to be watching an R film.
