I don't know if this rings any bells for anyone but i do recall reading a while back (or maybe it was a dream! I do get reality and my inner dreamworld mixed up sometimes! Lol) that Nic was to possibly play a role in a film based on the band Duran Duran? I remember the article said he was a great fan of theirs. Another british band! Nic has described his musical taste as 'eclectic' i really like that about him!

Seeing as Nic filmed some scenes for NT2 over here in London this summer I'm hoping that in the near future he will get involved with a totally British production wether it's as actor, producer, director or all three! I would love to see him in a British film filmed totally here in England!
I agree with you, we did have and still have, some good bands over here, The who was brilliant in the 70's, take Roger Daltrey for instance, he also acted in films as well as being a brilliant song writer, producer, musician you name it he was good at it Tommy the film for instance was brilliant, and with elton john singing the pinball wizard, which Nic does like Elton John as well it does go to show that we can and always will produce some excellent songs, musicals, and films for many years to come, and hoping that someone like Nic will take some on board to produce with Saturn films Its like most of Nic's movies does involve his likes, follow the yellow brick road in wild at heart, of which Elton had his own version, Yellow Brick Road, Elvis in most of his movies, so here's hoping that some of his british likes will be involved in more of his movies for many years to come
Have you noticed Nic likes a lot of British bands and singers...Bowie, The Who, Black Sabbath!
There was talk a few years ago of Nic playing the Who's Keith Moon or Pete Townshend in a film biog! I think he would've done a good Keith Moon when he was younger!
Funny enough, i read that in my google alerts i wasn't to sure to post it or not, It's good to know that Nic has taken an interest on this, as The band Police is British/American, the drummer Stewart Copeland is american, and Sting etc is british, so it just goes to show that we do have some good bands that do involve both cultures and it's nice to know that Nic wants to be involved on the British and American scene
An article in NME reports that Nic is to produce a film based on the autobiography of Andy Summers, guitarist with The Police, called 'One Train Later'. Here's the link http://www.nme.com/news/the-police/32208 I've not read the autobiography but i think this could be a very cool film for Nic to produce, The Police have been around as a band since the eighties and have probably many incredible stories to tell!
