We've had neighborhood meetings since this happened and it makes no sense to anyone how this guy got into a gated community unless he was invited. Nic's house is like Fort Knox so there would be no way this weirdo could get in Nic's house without someone knowing about it. I'm not so concerned anymore as my hub has amped up our security at the house but everyone has done the same. It makes no sense how a naked man could get into an airtight house and sit down in the living room and put on one of Nic's jackets without someone knowing about it. Maybe at this guys' trial we'll hear more?

I'm sure the guy is just trying to live his life as normal as possible. It would be hard to be famous and everywhere you go people want to talk to you all the time.  I'm sure he prefers to just try to be like a normal life.

We lock all our doors and windows at night here.

If I'm home alone during the daytime I still lock all the doors! Lol.

I thought he would have gone round and checked the doors, as i would have, although saying this, i dont double lock mine, but then i have a dog that barks at a slight  noise and she sleeps by the front door, so no one would get in anyway..lol

This is it...who to trust and not to trust...poor Nicky...it must be difficult being in his postiton...people stealing from you, robbing you and being dishonest.
I hope he never has to experience that sort of thing again.

I would love the chance to work for Nicky...at least he'll know he's getting a 100% genuine and honest member of staff.
I would NEVER turn against him.

There is only something I don't understand ...the house doors were unlocked ..  How come and who did not lock it ?

Ya know, I know that fame and fortune are pleasures to be had....but OMG....things like this give ya pause for thought and make ya wonder if it's all worth the price a celebrity has to pay in lost privacy and such.

Then again, SADLY.....these kinds of things happen to people all the time no matter where they live or who they are......

It's just that you know that celebrities or people with money draw the crazies to themselves like a magnet.  Every time they step outside their homes they have to be on heightened alert.  And from the looks of this news.....they can't even feel/be safe in their own homes.

yeah....it is kinda tragically funny....

Here's hoping that one day Nic and his family will be able to look back at this episode and go 'Remember when...blah blah blah..and he was NAKED....and he was wearing MY JACKET.....and he was a TAILOR....for Gawd's sake.....couldn't he have sewn his own damn jacket if he wanted one that bad????

Well, this story has also some tragi-comic feel to it... The guy was naked, but he told police he was, of all things, a TAILOR... The irony!!

Also, I had to smile this morning when I was browsing the headlines on Nic and found this one:

Doesn´t it sound a bit funny? Journalists will go to great pains to make ANY piece of news stand out, whatever the cost...

I learned this news hours ago when I switched on at the office to begin work.

And all these hours I´ve been thinking over how brave our man really is. This is the third thime in his life (that I know of) in which he keeps his cool in a life-threatening situation. It amazes me how he led the intruder in a calm fashion away from his family to keep them out of harm´s way, and at the same time managed to handle the nutty guy very calmly too until police came...

My admiration for him as a person has gone up some notches today. You don´t have to thank any angel for Nic, Alice and Kal not being hurt... you have to thank Nic himself.

What worries me is, he won´t be at ease again at home. At any of his homes, even though he´s probably going to hire more competent security people from now onwards.

Oh well, that´s one of many fame & money´s drawbacks, I gues...

Ya know....that's the question!  How in the world did the guy get into Nic's house at that hour of the morning?  You'd think Nic's houses would be fitted with the latest security measures.  Heck!  I'm nobody.... but my house goes into major lockdown at night with a security system fully on. 

I'm just so happy and relieved that no one was threatened or hurt.  Still, I'd be freaked out of my mind if I were Nic or Alice.

Nn wonder Nic wants to move into a fortified castle.....can't say I blame him one bit!

I just read this, wow that is creepy.  I read that he was wearing only the jacket? is that true? I'm glad Nic and his family did not get hurt.  i find it so strange that someone could get into the home, you would think that the security would stop that.  anyway, glad to hear no one was hurt.  That guy must be mentally ill or on drugs or something.

It's been a zoo around here for the last 12 hours that's for sure. Newport police are everywhere. Nic is no longer around. I don't blame him. I'm kinda scared myself considering my hub is on flight tonight and I'm home alone with four kids. At least I have my computer and my mom at a phone call away.
