The latter is a huge thing to ask... as for the first, YOU´re the expert, lol! I had no clue what a haiku was until I read the ones that some members were posting at the TONCAS site some years ago...
Appartently, it´s a Japanese poetry mode consisting of a pattern of 5/7/5 syllables. Most haikus talk about moods that go with the seasons, according to the Japanese tradition. But haikus are very popular in other countries and languages and can be about EVERYTHING YOU LIKE.
