RE: NEXT reviews?

my favorite part is the restaurant scene with Jessica B., i think he was so cute and natural in that scene and sort of little boy like.

Thats it, who is the idiot that decided a September 20 release date in Australia is ok for this movie?   I have to wait that long, to see our sexy stud muffin in his buffed (CGI - not!) glory having a vision of kissing Jessica Biel, describing it first and then getting the real thing in glorious cinemascope minutes later?  Whoever made that decision should be flogged and sent to some out of the way penal colony! furious

OH kay ladies (and gents)....

I finally got around to seeing NEXT last night.  I went by my lonesome and chose a seat dead center the big screen.

Let me first say that this movie adaptation from the short story THE GOLDEN MAN is so far off of the original story, that it is unrecognizable.

Not to say that it was a bad movie.  Not at all.  It just wasn't a movie that stayed anywhere near the original storyline.

Nic, was, as always, very good in the role.  Comfortable in his skin.  There is one scene that stands out to me.....when he's about to kiss Jessica Biel for the first time and since he can see 'into' the future, he already knows what the kiss will be like.....What he says BEFORE we see the kiss....he says so honestly and purely that you can 'feel' the kiss with him when he does kiss her.  ( I hope that made sense).

It also tickled me to see Nic's bare torso again, not so much because it's a fine specimen of a man.....but because in seeing the scene, Nic, in his real life, is vindicated for what everyone was saying about the bare chest scene in Ghost Rider (that it was all CGI).  We can clearly tell that Nic HIMSELF is a buffed babe in this movie.  VINDICATION is good!  LOL!

Anyway, I won't give anything else away.  Suffice to say, I enjoyed the movie very much.  :)

Hey guys!

Thanks, everyone, for the answers to my query.  I still haven't had a chance to see NEXT but it sounds like I'd like the flick!  A little romance, a little mysticism, some action and my favorite Stud Muffin......  LOL!

Heck!!!  I'll probably LOVE this movie when I get a chance to see it!

Anyhoo.....Life has been a roller coaster of ups and downs around here lately and my computer finally bit the dust big time a few weeks back.   It's deader than a doornail.....

Oh key doe key then..... I miss all of you, ALOT!  :)

When I can finally afford a new computer, I'll check in more often.  Till then, take care, ok???

Leaving a sort of "open end" hit the point!

Anyhooo......I was wondering if anyone got a chance to see the movie NEXT and what everyone thought of it?  I haven't seen it yet.  ME BAD.  I really don't know when I'll get a chance to either.  It may be one of those movies I'll see on DVD first.  Anyway....

How about if people write a review of the movie after they see it (without giving away too many spoilers for those who haven't seen it)??

Anyone game?

        Hey Ditzy!

        Welcome back hun!biggrinwink

        I haven't seen Next.
I'm not really a fan of going to the movies plus it's so bloody expensive
to go to the cinema here in London so I'm going to wait 'til it comes out
        to buy on DVD.
Ghost Rider was an exception for me as I couldn't wait to see him on a
motorbike in all that sexy leather!biggrinwink

I can't see it as I'm on complete bedrest until this little one comes. But I'll definately see it as soon as I can. My hub says he'll rent it for me when it comes out. He wants to see it too!

I have seen it twice now...and loved it. It was very enjoyable, and hit a lot of different emotions. It's kind of a romance story for people who like romance movies, but there's still quite a bit of action in it for people who like action. Nic did a splendid job playing the enjoyable Chris Johnson. One thing I really liked in the movie, is that when he has a vision they don't make it obvious that that's what you are watching...they also leave you hanging at the end. Nic's wife had a small role in the film as well, so it was very nice seeing his smile when she was on camera with him. All in all it was a wonderful movie, very well done, and I would advise everyone to go see it. The New York Times gave it 3 out of 4 stars! smile
