You didn't miss much Feline...Just a quick glimpse - an aerial view - of Nicky under his big hat growling in a sexy voice ''gentlemen, start your engines''. And that was it!
Well, the idea behind a Flat Stanley is this........
A child is usually given a school assignment that goes like this. The kid is told to lay on a long sheet of paper and someone traces his body. Then the child cuts out the body and colors in the features....whatever. Then he/she is to carefully fold up Stanley and send him off by mailpost to a friend or a relative who usually is asked to write a note or postcard to the child's classroom saying that Stanley visited them in X town and maybe did .......blah blah blah.
Then....THAT person is asked to mail it out to someone else to do the same thing. Over and over again......
The further afield Stanley travels the better and the more interesting notes or postcards that the classroom gets.
Both of my kid's Stanleys got to go to Europe to visit with my old friend MaryLou. One of them even got sent on to Greece!
Whoever's kid got a picture of Stanley with Nic and who can say his Stanley attended the Nascar races is one lucky kid! :)

Gads......I remember when both of my kids had to do the FLAT STANLEY bit....What a hoot! They would have been jumping out of their skin to know that their Stanley got a visit with Nic!
Brought Miranda's Flat Stanley to the Daytona 500 yesterday. Got a number of Stanley-on-a-windshield, Stanley-in-Gilliland's-pit, etc. shots. But this was kinda the winner of the day.
