The more famous one is, the more they will get people talking about them good  and bad.  Just means that Nic is VERY famous.

Been there, done that.
I'm sick of trying to explain why I like him. The very fact is dumb, you don't explain attraction, it just happens.
All you Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise and Antonio Banderas fans out there, whoever amongst you is flawless, throw a stone on me, damn it!
I've never seen a man as handsome and charismatic as Nicolas Cage in my life. If you don't like it, mind your own buisness. i'm tired and completely sick of being scolded and mocked for loving him the way I do. Then let me die a virgin just because I don't look like Angelina Jolie, it's ridiculous
He's an actor, he's not a supermodel.
He cathes everyone out there with his amazing acting.
He's special. Not-another-American-idol.
That's it.
Amen

Yeah and you know what? I don't care if his nose is big, I don't mind that at all! But this is coming from someone who finds Adrien Brody, Hugh Jackman, and Richard Roxburgh attractive, so we see I have no problem with noses, lol.

But there's so many different things I find attractive. I like 'pretty noses', I like 'big noses', I like all kinds (except the large round, bulbous ones..)

And I love his mouth. It's very similar to Jimmy Stewart's whom I adore.

And as for the 'long face' thing- I tend to go for slightly gaunt, narrow faced men anyway. I don't like the square, big head look- Like Michael Douglas or Martin Sheen... Eek.

I've found that if someone critiscises someone you like they're doing it because they know it will wind you up and they are jealous...simple as that! I've been lucky with the reaction I get from people when they find out I'm a Nic fan...so far no one has said anything bad about him...the reaction(s) I usually get are ''Oh, I loved him in'' (what-ever movie they've seen) and ''He's very good looking''! Feline is right...the likes of Pitt, Kilmer and Bacon, and also Clooney, cruise and Crowe, are a dime a dozen! Our Nicky is off the wall, quirky, unique and beautiful and that's why we love him.

Yes, that's what I think. I know my dad used to say things about the actors I liked, he used to do it just to get a rise out of me. I used to tell him he says those things cause he's jealous of them ;)

But as for my Uncle, I think he does it for a different reason. Because my dad does most things to annoy people. My Uncle doesn't try to annoy people on purpose, he's just extremely stubborn, and there's no way you could get that man to change his mind after he's made it up, no matter what facts you have.

Oh yeah, Clooney definitely. He was one of the guys my Uncle mentioned. He thinks Clooney is a good-looking man. That's ridiculous. Clooney is too dull for me. His features are...blah. Now, Nic for example, your eyes just dart to each feature because they're not the same old thing, they're not ordinary.

My Uncle also likes Brad Pitt, which I found very confusing. I would think he couldn't stand a guy like Pitt. But it seems whatever I predict of him, he does exactly the opposite :/

(the only time I liked Brad Pitt was in "Interview with the Vampire", and "Meet Joe Black". )

I would love to know why he thinks this, what research he has done, etc. Seriously, I would.

Ok, that being stated..GO WITH WHAT YOU FEEL, not what others think or feel. They may dislike for whatever reason, but the bottom line is that he was, is and will continue too be a staple in Hollywood and in our hearts. Why? Does it really matter..do we always have to justify why and whom we like/love/hate, etc? "Live and let live and each to their own" right? Everything will be fine and you are such a wonderful fan and it takes guts too defend someone you have never met! You go girl, you have my respect!!

Oh, yes. My Uncle reads so much, I don't know how he fits it all in his brain. It's pretty much all he does after he gets home from work or whatever it is he does (which I'm still not clear on o_O) He always gives good advice, and always seems to have some psychological theory to back it up. He's a lot smarter than I give him credit for I think.

That is true, I don't have to justify why I'm attracted to someone, but I'm always curious to analyze everything and find the logic in it. And I've found that me and my Uncle are this way. Which is part of our conflicts. We both have different views and theories, and neither on of us can shake the other.

LOL! Man! I gotta laugh at this one ""His nose is too big, his face is too long and not at all semetrical which psychologically attracts people." Tell your uncle for us that EVERYONE'S face is asymetrical!

I once was at a museum that had an interactive computer where they took a snapshot of your face. They then put the two right sides of your face together and then they put the two left sides of your face together......to show you how downright ODD a person looks when both sides of your face match PERFECTLY together. It was really weird because you end up looking like a totally different person altogether!

The point here is.............people are probably 'psychologically' attracted to asymetrical faces because we ALL have asymetrical faces! Uggh!

BTW......Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Being pysically attracted to someone's looks is like being 'pulled' toward a piece of art that blows you away.

Personally, I think Nic is like a finely executed painting......

I'd hang him on my wall. That is.....if he wouldn't mind that kind of thing.....LOL!

Hehe, yeah, I do agree, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've found that to be very true.

I have to say, I'd probably hang him on my wall if I could as well, lol.

Yes, I find myself doing that a lot too...I always hear people go around saying that he has an odd head...so I always have to go defend him...and as Spice said with the heads, noses and faces...no one has an asymetrical face...and no one has eyes as beautiful as Nicky does

Any of you guys ever find yourself constantly defending Nicky? I'm all the time hearing rude comments on his looks. And I always have to open my big mouth and say something back. lol.

Just today actually- me and my Uncle email each other back and forth, and I mentioned Nicolas in a movie I thought he might like, and then he goes on about how he doesn't like Nic- he thinks that the only reason women like him is because he has a 'badboy' image and he's famous. Then he says, "His nose is too big, his face is too long and not at all semetrical which psychologically attracts people."

So that really ticked me off. So I said, "His 'big nose' fits the rest of his face. I don't mind noses like his. I mean, the man is more than his nose, right? If every feature was exactly the same size and shape, the world would be a very boring place."

Then to reply to his, 'only like him because he's famous bit' I said, "If I was attracted to 'famous badboys' I would like Brad Pitt and Val Kilmer and Kevin Bacon, etc, etc. And I don't. They're just a dime a dozen. Now Nic Cage, he is extraordinary, eccentric, and full of character. The fact that he's famous is not an issue with me- the only reason I would care about that would be so I could see him more. The fact that he's famous is kind of silly, I mean, if he wasn't famous, how many women would know him? Not many, he'd be someone like us, so he wouldn't be well-known."

Geez, he makes me mad sometimes. But I do like to email him, even though he may not sound like it from what I've posted here, he's very bright. I enjoy talking with him. Because when I was growing up, I avoided him whenever he came over- I was a very unsociable child- but now that I've gotten to know him better, I like to talk with him- or rather, email him. He lives too far away to talk to personally.
